    About the Me109G-6:

The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was a World War II fighter aircraft designed by Willy Messerschmitt in the early 1930s. It was the first true modern fighter of the era, including such features as an all-metal monocoque construction, a closed canopy, and retractable landing gear.
The G-6 model, the most produced Bf 109 version, had very heavy armament. The G-6/U4 variant with Rustsatz R6 was armed with two 13 mm MG 131 above the engine, a 30 mm MK 108 cannon shooting through the propeller hub and one 20 mm MG 151/20 in a 'pod' under each wing. The G-6 was very often fitted with assembly sets, used to carry bombs or a drop tank, for use as nightfighter, or to increase fire power by adding rockets or extra guns.

Bought this to begin a collection, related to a book I'm reading. Wanted 1:72,

but didn't want a lot of money tied up in the particular display, because it will involve quite a few planes.

I have to say for the price point of the dragon wings models, the detail is spectacular. However,

that isn't said without there being some issues. The plastic horizontal stabilizers are a bit of a let down,

and the entire model is a bit more fragile than I expected it to be. Also, some of the minor parts

don't fit together that well. But, like I said for the price point don't hesitate. The detail alone

    - is worth every cent.
