This is a museum quality reproduction of a World War II Coast Guard Pilot Wing in sterling silver with a 24k gold plate. This wing was designed by Gemsco and so hallmarked. Note the anchor is much larger than the Navy wings which is the difference between Navy and Coast Guard wings of that era. I believe this is one of nicest designed wings of the WWII era and is shown on Page 72 of United States Navy Wings of Gold.
