Right after WWII the 11th was stationed in Japan and the local industry wanted to make money selling to GIs. One of the badges that were made was the paratrooper badge for the 11th and it has become one of the rarest of collectable paratrooper badges. This is a museum quality reproduction of that badge in sterling silver that was originally made in Japan with the proper Japanese pin back. A great item for a collection until a real one comes along.

But these were very limited in use to rescue of air crews along the coast of the US where a lot of flying and trainingtook place. The crews on these boats had unofficial "wings" just as the PT boats did during the war. There were two types of these pins, they...

This is a museum quality reproduction of a very unusual wing badge from the Vietnam era made in sterling silver. This is one of the many unofficial badges the SF troops had made in country. This wing is raher unique in that the base wing is from the US Army Air Service of 1919 -1920 era and then had the center part soldered into place. This is the only one of the many SF wings I have seen made this way.

The Senior Pilot Wing was established in 1937 as the "Military Airplane Pilot. " The requirements were that a pilot have 12 years as a military pilot and at least 2000 flyinghours. In 1940 the name was changed to Senior Pilot. This is a museum qualityreproduction in sterling silver. Note this is an unusual design of where the star is held up by legs. Not many of the senior wings were of this design. The wing is the same as manufactured by Meyer.
