March 23, 2021 - www.DiecastAirplane.com
First off we have the new 1:72 scale MQ-1 predator in stock from Air Force 1 models. These are selling fast and won't last long.
Next up are the August release Hobby Master models. We have seen a big increase in our Hobby Master sales in the last year which means more models are selling out before they are released so please order soon, especially the Blue Angels F/A-18 and the pair of BF-109s
World War II fighters, foreign jets, and modern warbirds are all found in this diverse assortment! We're proud to showcase 12 brand new, and one previously announced, collectibles. Among the highlights, you'll find an F/A-18E Super Hornet that spent time with a pair of U.S. Navy Air Test and Evaluation Squadrons, while also making an appearance in the yet to be released "Top Gun: Maverick" film, before becoming the first F/A-18E to join the U.S. Navy "Blue Angels" demo team in July 2020.
The centerpieces of the collection are a pair of WWII BF 109E-3s, flown by decorated German aces. The BF 109E-3 "Yellow 1" was flown by Oblt. Josef Priller, Staffelkaptian of 6/JG. The aircraft appears as it would have around the time Priller scored his 20th victory while his squad was located at Saint-Inglevert Airfield, France, in Autumn of 1940. A recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, Priller flew 307 combat missions claiming 101 victories. The other BF 109E-3 was flown by Oblt. Hans Schmoller-Haldy of 3.J/88 during the end of the Spanish Civil War in 1939. Because of his late arrival, he didn't score any victories in Spain, but his BF 109E-3 did have one of the more unique paint schemes. It not only had the 3. Staffel Mickey Mouse emblem, but Schmoller-Haldy added a personal touch of an overflowing beer stein with the initials "CP" on it, which stood for The Order of Cardinal Puff, a pilots' beer club in Belgium. Later in WWII he would score 14 victories.
Scaled at either 1/48 or 1/72, these quality die cast models come with some of the industry's most coveted features including dynamic moveable parts, historic markings, and a mid-flight display stand.
