Item Number: US32225P-51D MUSTANG OF MAJOR ROBIN OLDS, 434TH FS/479TH FG, WATTISHAM, SUFFOLK, APRIL 1945 Length: 5.25" Delivered to the USAAF in March 1945, this aircraft was one of the last P-51s to reach the Eighth Air Force prior to VE-Day. Olds used at least seven fighters during his tour of duty in the European Theater of Operation, and SCAT VII was the only one not to be written off by another pilot. Returned to the US postwar, the fighter survived in civilian hands until written off in a fatal accident in 2004. Length:5.25"
