All things currently concerning Northwest Airlines as well as the Boeing 787 still carry a big question mark. After months-long negotiations, Northwest Airlines announced its merger with the third-largest airline, Delta Air Lines, to become the world’s biggest airline. Shareholders and the antitrust authority, however, still have to approve the deal. It is currently still uncertain anyway, when Boeing will be able to deliver the „Dreamliner“. Due to the production of individual components for the 787 being farmed out worldwide, there have been repeated delivery problems.
