Item Number: HG3404Based on the lower chassis of the M4A2 Sherman the M10 had a newly designed lower profile upper hull. Built with light armor and an open turret the M10 was designed with maneuverability in mind. To compensate for the light armor the hull was angular to enhance shot deflection. The distinctive shape of the M10 turret is due to the fact it was equipped with a 76mm 50 caliber cannon that required a massive counterweight on the rear. The M10 was replaced by the 90mm M36.
The Free French Army received the first of its 227 M10s in 1943. By wars end 47 French M10s had been lost.
