The first swept-wing aircraft in the U.S. fighter inventory, the F-86 Sabre entered service in 1949. The plane��_s bubble canopy provided pilots an excellent field of vision, and its 600-mile combat radius and service ceiling of over 45,000 feet established the Sabre as a formidable presence during the Korean War. Renowned for its longevity, the Sabre remained in service until 1993, possibly a record for any combat aircraft. Capturing every detail of an actual U.S.A.F.
