The Century Wings range presents highly-detailed, ready-made diecast models of military aircraft. Beginning with the ever popular F-14 Tomcat, Century Wings are setting a new standard in 1:72 diecast for detail and accuracy. Each model includes a selection of weapons and removeable pilot figures. Most notable however, are the completed landing gear sub-assemblies that snap quickly into place, elminating the frustration of attaching numerous individual gear doors and struts found on similar diecast models.
Century Wings diecast airplanes feature:
- Diecast metal construction with some plastic components.
- Realistic panel lines, antennas, access panels and surface details.
- Pad printed markings and placards that won't fade or peel like decals.
- Opening canopies, revealing detailed cockpit interiors.

Designed to meet a USN requirement for a supersonic air-superiority fighter, the F8 was first flown on March 25th, 1955.
